Institute of Tender Management
Institute of Tender Management is the most prestigious Institute of Pakistan in the field of procurement management. The Institute of Tender Management was established in October 2002 (Formerly called Tender Research Institute of Pakistan) for providing specialized training in the field of Procurement and Contract Management. The Institute is affiliated with Skill Development Council Lahore (National Training Bureau, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan)
The main objective of the Institute is to provide training for capacity building of procurement officers throughout Pakistan; For this purpose, the Institute conducts regular training workshops on procurement management and public procurement rules. The aim of these training workshops is to provide an insight into the latest national and international trends and developments in the field of procurement. The Institute also provides procurement consultancy to top government organizations.
Another important activity of the Institute is the publication of books, manuals, and articles related to tender and procurement management, public procurement rules and controlling corruption in public procurement.
The following are the highlights of the activities of the Institute of Tender Management.
Workshops
The Institute has trained more than Twenty Thousand concerned officers and staff of more than Two Thousand (2000) government departments and corporate sector in Peshawar, Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Sheikupura, Chashma, Bhurban, and Taxila;
Some of the important organizations which participated in training workshops are NADRA, NAB, PPL, FBR, PIA, PSO, Pakistan Security Printing Press, National Bank of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan, Bank of Punjab, The Bank of Khyber, Summit Bank, Sindh Bank, Agriculture Bank of Pakistan, Karachi University, IBA, Agha Khan Foundation, University of Engineering and technology, Dow Medical University, Higher Education Commission, NUST, Virtual University, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Rawalpindi Medical College, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Punjab Revenue Authority, WASA, WAPDA, Neelum Jehlum Hydro Project, Ghazi Barotha Hydro Project, TEPA, LDA, TDCP, PHA, DHA, FESCO, LESCO, NHA, Punjab Police, Motorway Police, Prison Department Sindh etc.
The Institute has provided the services of its faculty as the resource person to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore, Institute of Cost & Management Accountancy of Pakistan (ICMAP); Management and Professional Development Department (MPDD) Government of Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Library Lahore, Motorway Police Training School Sheikupura and PIA Training Institute Karachi.
Academic Activities
The Institute of Tender Management is affiliated with Skill Development Council, Lahore ((National Training Bureau, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan). The Institute of Tender Management is the only Institute in Pakistan which has been authorized by Skill Development Council to award diplomas in Tender Management, Procurement Management, Procurement Law and Contract Management.
